⚠️ PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT – SCAM ALERT ⚠️

Newcastle Mobility has been made aware of a scam involving someone falsely using our business name, identity and photographs of our showroom.

The scammer has been contacting people via WhatsApp, claiming to be selling an R9 Mobility Scooter and requesting payment using Apple Gift Cards / Apple Cards.

🚨 PLEASE BE AWARE: THIS IS NOT NEWCASTLE MOBILITY.

We strongly encourage members of the public to:

  • Do not respondto these messages.
    • Do not send any money, gift cards or payment details.
    • Do not provide the person with any personal or financial information.
    • If you receive a message claiming to be from Newcastle Mobility and are unsure whether it is genuine, please contact our office directly on 02 4962 4007 before making any payment.

Newcastle Mobility will never request payment via Apple Gift Cards or similar gift cards.

Unfortunately, the individuals involved are using our business identity and photographs without our permission in an attempt to appear legitimate.

Please feel free to share this post to help us warn others and prevent anyone from becoming a victim of this scam.

Icare XP Support Overlay/Underlay

The XP Support Overlay / Underlay is a versatile firm support surface designed to improve mattress stability, assist mobility and transfers, and help prevent bottoming out. It can be placed over a soft mattress to provide a firmer feel, underneath a compatible alternating-air mattress for additional support, or beside the bed as a crash mat to help reduce the risk of injury.

Overlays are frequently used with an alternating-air mattress. When an air mattress is used on a profiling bed, its pressure can change as the bed position is adjusted. The XP Support Overlay is suitable for use beneath a compatible alternating-air mattress, providing a supportive layer if the mattress loses pressure in a profiled position. This may help reduce the risk of pressure injuries or other injuries associated with contact with the bed platform.
