Newcastle Mobility has been made aware of a scam involving someone falsely using our business name, identity and photographs of our showroom.

The scammer has been contacting people via WhatsApp, claiming to be selling an R9 Mobility Scooter and requesting payment using Apple Gift Cards / Apple Cards.

🚨 PLEASE BE AWARE: THIS IS NOT NEWCASTLE MOBILITY.

We strongly encourage members of the public to:

  • Do not respondto these messages.
    • Do not send any money, gift cards or payment details.
    • Do not provide the person with any personal or financial information.
    • If you receive a message claiming to be from Newcastle Mobility and are unsure whether it is genuine, please contact our office directly on 02 4962 4007 before making any payment.

Newcastle Mobility will never request payment via Apple Gift Cards or similar gift cards.

Unfortunately, the individuals involved are using our business identity and photographs without our permission in an attempt to appear legitimate.

Please feel free to share this post to help us warn others and prevent anyone from becoming a victim of this scam.

The open design of Maxi Twin can enhance working practices for caregivers when transferring dependent patients or residents.

MANOEUVRABILITY
The twin-mast design distributes the weight evenly, and the large handholds enable caregivers to manoeuvre the lifter. The open mast design also allows for additional legroom for the patient.

EYE CONTACT
The dual mast is designed to enable close, reassuring contact between caregiver and patient throughout the transfer.

PRECISION TRANSFERS
Integrated with the spreader bar is a powered dynamic positioning system (PDPS) that helps in repositioning the patient in the sling, minimising manual handling.

SINGLE CAREGIVER
Maxi Twin has been designed to be operated by a single caregiver.

ELECTRONIC SCALE (OPTION)
Optional electronic scale enables the caregiver to weigh the patient while performing a transfer.
